Hockey and Figure Skating Group Lessons
Learn to ice skate with the only Learn to Skate Program offered in Beaver County! The Learn to Skate (LTS) program at Brady's Run Ice Arena offers beginner and advanced ice-skating group lessons for hockey and figure skating. The program is run by the Beaver County Figure Skating Club in accordance with the Learn to Skate USA program through the U.S. Figure Skating Association.

Beginner classes for skaters ages 3-4 are available through Snowplow Sam. Skaters 5 years and older can take classes through Basic Skills 1-6 or Hockey 1-2. The Snowplow Sam / Basic Skills 1-6 / Hockey 1-2 classes will take place on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 pm.

More advanced classes are offered through the Aspire and Hockey 3-4 levels. Aspire classes are available for skaters on the figure skating track who have passed Basic Skills 6. Hockey 3-4 is available for skaters who have passed Hockey 2. Aspire and Hockey 3-4 classes will take place on Saturdays from 3:15 - 4:15pm (30 mins on-ice & 30-mins off-ice).

About Learn to Skate Classes
NEW to Learn To Skate?
Here is some helpful information to help you and your skater get the most from their time at Learn to Skate

Helmets are required for ages 6 and under.

Snowplow Sam is for ages 3 and 4.

Basic Skills Classes are for ages 5 and up. All beginners start at Basic 1.

Please arrive early for check-in and preparations. Classes will begin ON ICE at 5:45pm and run until 6:30pm. Skaters in Basic 4 and above may warm-up on the ice starting at 5:30pm.

Aspire Class is for skaters who have passed Basic Skills 6.

Hockey 3-4 is for skaters who have passed Hockey 2.

Parents will learn about the Beaver County Figure Skating Club’s role and function, when to start private lessons, how to select a coach for private lessons.

Skate rental fee is NOT included. See ice arena office to rent skates. Fee is $5. Cash preferred ($3 charge for credit cards).
